My Bible

I remember being home lying in my bed when my phone rung, and it was my dance teacher once again. She was like, “Asia why don’t you want to come back to dance practice, it has to because of Willie, the girls or Roderick.” She defiantly caught me off guard with that one. I asked what did she mean, and she told me that Theodore had already told her about what I told him and why didn’t I tell her, but in the same breathe she was like Roderick is right here and wants to speak to you. I was extremely nerves I didn’t know what he was going to say but I stayed on the phone. When he got on the phone he was like, “Asia I touched you? Huh, I touched you?” I didn’t know if he really wanted me to respond, I was confused. I didn’t know what to say, but I continued to listen to him. He then changed his demeanor and was like, “Asia I am sorry if I touched you in any way that made you feel uncomfortable, that wasn’t my intention, you know how we guys play around, but we don’t want you to quit. Willie wouldn’t want you to quit.” I said yea sure, and then he said he was putting my dance teacher back on the phone. She then said, “so is everything ok, so are you coming to practice today, I really want you to teach the new members girl because we have a show coming up and I know you will put them in place.” This was just a part of her manipulation which I fell for because she never had asked me to teach the class before she just didn’t want me to tell anyone what was going on. I also didn’t believe Roderick what grown ass man would apology for something that he really didn’t do, if he didn’t really do it, especially something as serious as this.



Me being naive I did return to dance class that afternoon. Just being in the studio around everyone, the vibe was just too quiet. I knew that all the members knew what was going on, I just didn’t know who was going to ask me about it first, but I knew they were going to ask. So Jazz being the boldest one started up the conversation and of course everyone stood around listening and putting in their little input, “I been knew something wasn’t right with that nigga, and he just got out of jail too.” While in the middle of my conversation Jazz’s boyfriend Victor entered the room. He listened for a little while and then walked away and yelled , “BULLSHIT, OUT OF ALL PEOPLE ASIA, I FUCKS WITH THAT NIGGA, AND HE KNOWS SHE IS WILLIE’S GIRL.” I got extremely pissed because it was like he was calling me a liar, so I followed him into the room with his boys, and was like, “Victor what reason do I have to lie.” He then asked “did you tell Willie, no you didn’t.” He was getting to me so I walked out and went into the bathroom to cry. Less than a minute Greg came knocking on the door asking if he can come in, so I let him in.


Greg started to wipe my face, and was like , “Asia, on some real shit I believe you, your not the only person who has told me some shit like this about Roderick. “He was like “this shit is unreal, and I don’t even know how to handle this shit.” I started to tell him all the times I felt uncomfortable. While in the middle of this conversation we got a knocked on the bathroom door and it was another member name Othelia, who was about 13 at the time. Greg said, “we will be out in a little while.” She said “no, I want to come in and tell yall something. “She said the reason she had stopped coming to dance class was because Roderick was feeling on her as well and she never said anything. Greg got so pissed and punched the wall….
